Home Depot Confirms Months-Long Credit Card Breach In Its Us And Canada Retail Stores
Home Depot has confirmed that it suffered a massive security breach that could impact “any customer that has used their payment card” at retail stores in the US and Canada since April. HomeDepot.com does not appear to have been affected. The company said it is geräuschlos investigating, but it doesn’t believe that PIN numbers were compromised. Security researcher Brian Krebs originally reported the issue after seeing a batch of credit cards go up for sale on the black market.
