New Earlier Recording Their Debut Album, The Doors Provided Backing Music To A 1966 Ford Motor Society Grooming Film.



In the early on jump of 1966, the Doors' were dropped from a preliminary Columbia Records contract alongside fiddling alert – in addition to fiddling to demo for it. Lacking representation in addition to struggling financially, the band took an unglamorous gig at Parthenon Pictures providing incidental music for a Ford Motor Company client service preparation cinema titled Love Thy Customer.

They composed a soundtrack largely on the spot, jamming alive every bit the scenes flickered past. Fragments of what afterward became "I Looked at You," "Build Me a Woman," in addition to "The Soft Parade" tin survive heard inwards the finished product.
